The Provo City Center Temple is a temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) on the same site as the former Provo Tabernacle in Provo, Utah. The temple utilizes much of the external shell of the tabernacle, all which remains of the original building after a fire in December 2010. Now that the reconstruction has come to an end, the temple is open to everyone and anyone. Because of high demand, the Church is releasing tickets incrementally. The free open house starts on Friday, January 15, and will go through Saturday, March 5, 2016. It will run every day except for the Sundays of January 17, 24, and 31 and February 7, 14, 21, and 28. A cultural celebration will take place on Saturday, March 19. The temple will be dedicated on Sunday, March 20, 2016.Church President, Thomas S. Monson, announced the second Provo temple in October 2011, and ground was broken to begin reconstruction May 12, 2012. The temple is located on University Avenue between Center Street and 100 South. The Church’s 112-year-old Provo Tabernacle burned in December 2010 and only the shell of the building was left. After the burned-out structure was gutted, Mormon leaders decided to use the building’s exterior to house the temple.

If you are in need of some entertainment, whether it is with family or friends, the local theatres has what you need. Options range from family-friendly films such as Hotel Transylvania 2, to the much-anticipated James Bond movie—Spectre. After reviewing the Box Office Top 10, here are some recommended movies.

But sitting in the top position in sales for the passed few weekends is the newest addition to the James Bond series, Spectre. Spectre has been putting out serious numbers—over $300 million already, to be exact. Daniel Craig putting in another solid movie at 46 years old. The movie also features new cars from Range Rover, Jaguar and classic Aston Martin as well as introduction of two new “Bond Girls”. One of which, Monica Bellucci, being the oldest one ever, at 50 years old!

It’s definitely a long film, though. Having a run time of 2 hours and 28 minutes, it is longer than the average theatre film. But, director Sam Mendes does an excellent job of keeping one engaged throughout the duration of the time. Filled with plenty of car chases, action-packed fighting, helicopter explosions, and a bit of romance in the mix, it’s definitely an encouraged film for all of you James Bond fans.

Nightmare on 13th is a very popular haunted house around the time of Halloween.   It has been around for 25 years and is said to get scarier and scarier every year!  Nightmare on 13th has been consistently rated Utah’s best haunted house.  Not only is it the best, the cost is quite a bit cheaper than other haunted houses around town.  It only costs $25, and there are coupons all over town for $5 off.  You can also go online, and get a VIP pass for the same price.  This allows you to SKIP the lines, and also get a free photo download! I got the chance to recently go down to this haunted house, I was scared outta my mind! It was my very first haunted house, and I was highly impressed.
